What we do
Stone arrives wearing a finish somebody else chose.
Sometimes that finish is wrong for the room it is headed into — too much shine for a quiet kitchen, too flat for a stone that deserves depth, or simply not what the client specified. Replacing the slab is slow and expensive. Changing its surface is neither.
We refinish full slabs and finished countertops, in four finishes. The stone stays exactly what it was. Only the light it gives back changes.

Depth and reflection
The finish most slabs ship with. Colour goes as deep as the stone can take it, veining reads at full strength, and the surface reflects the room. It is what a showroom floor is usually selling.

The equipment
Finished on a Sasso K LUX.
Full slabs are refinished on an Italian-built Sasso K LUX line. The head travels the whole face of the slab under the same pressure, pass after pass, instead of being worked by hand across a surface that size.
That is what keeps a finish even from edge to edge — and what lets two slabs cut for the same kitchen come back looking like two halves of one stone.

What comes through the shop
Three kinds of work.
Full slabs
Whole slabs refinished and returned ready to sell or fabricate. This is the bulk of what we do — distributors and fabricators sending stone that needs a different surface than it shipped with.
Finished countertops
Tops that are already cut, and sometimes already installed, taken to a new finish without replacing the stone. A polished kitchen brought down to honed or leathered.
Damaged & dull stone
Scratches, etch marks, dull patches, and fabrication polish that came out uneven. Stone that would otherwise be written off is usually recoverable.
Stone we work with
Just about anything — with two exceptions.
Porcelain and printed quartz, we turn down
On those the pattern is printed onto the surface rather than running through the slab, so refinishing would take the print straight off with it. If you are not sure which one you have, send a photo and we will tell you before anything ships.

Price back quickly, before anything moves. Turnaround on the work itself is quick — we will tell you when you ask.

The stone comes in
Send it on your freight or bring it to the shop on Justin Lane. Racked and checked in against the order.

Refinished and returned
Run to the target finish, inspected under raking light for consistency, then wrapped and sent back.
Why stone gets sent to us
A slab that has sat on the rack for a year is often a slab in the wrong finish, not the wrong stone.

Honed was specified, polished is what you stock. Refinishing beats sourcing again — and you keep the sale.
